ST. Francis
Nsambya hospital

St. Francis Hospital Nsambya, commonly known as Nsambya Hospital, is a well-established private, not-for-profit hospital located in Kampala, Uganda. Founded in 1903 by the Little Sisters of St. Francis, the hospital has grown into one of the most respected healthcare institutions in the country. It operates under the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau and maintains a strong commitment to compassionate, faith-based care. Nsambya Hospital is also a key teaching facility, affiliated with Uganda Martyrs University, where it plays an essential role in training future healthcare professionals through its medical and nursing education programs.

Why St.Francis?

The hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and emergency care. It is known for its well-equipped diagnostic departments, including a modern laboratory, radiology unit, and specialized clinics for conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and HIV/AIDS. Nsambya Hospital also has a fully functional operating theatre, a maternity ward, and an intensive care unit (ICU) that supports critical and post-surgical care. These facilities are complemented by a dedicated staff of doctors, nurses, and support personnel who work collaboratively to ensure quality care for all patients.
